Sandipani Ashram Ujjain

Sandipani Ashram is a sacred place in Ujjain, built in honor of Maharishi Sandipani. It is a popular tourist spot. According to mythology, this is where Guru Sandipani taught Lord Krishna, his friend Sudama, and Krishna’s brother Balram.

Today, the ashram looks like a temple. Inside, there are idols of Krishna, Balram, Sudama, and Guru Sandipani. A special stone here has numbers from 1 to 100 engraved on it, believed to be written by Guru Sandipani himself.

The ashram has many shrines, with the main one dedicated to Guru Sandipani. Sarveshwar Mahadev Temple in the ashram has a 6000-year-old Shivlinga with Shesnaag. The ashram also has Gomati Kund, a sacred water tank where Lord Krishna brought holy water for his guru. Devotees take this water home as a blessing.
